Ben Sternke has been chronicling his discipleship manifesto the past couple of weeks. He has shared three fantastic posts regarding what he has learned from his work in Ft Wayne.

  1. Discipleship is the process of becoming more and more like Jesus in both character and competency. This is the WHAT of discipleship.
  2. Discipleship is the process of being led by someone, imitating their faith, which assumes the person being imitated is a bit further down the road. This is the HOW of discipleship.
  3. Discipleship is being on the lookout for for reliable and qualified people, because they will have the best opportunity to teach others. This is the WHO of discipleship.

His next post will be on WHERE it happens – the environment of discipleship. Looking forward to it.
